Undefeated Movsar Evloev Believes He Deserves Title Shot, Dana White Not A Fan Of His Style

Movsar Evloev believes he’s done enough to face the winner of next month’s title fight between Ilia Topuria and Alex Volkanovski.

At UFC 297, Evloev picked up his 18th straight win (8th in the UFC) when he defeated Arnold Allen.

After the fight, Evloev called for his title shot.

“It’s not about finishing somebody or something else,”“I’m 18-0 – that’s no joke. Even if I had no finishes, with 15-0 I beat everybody and everyone knows. Because I’m still undefeated, there’s no way they don’t let me go for the title. (But) if I need to beat somebody else, just give it to me.”

UFC CEO Dana White was not a fan of Evloev’s performance calling it “the least fun fight” on the card.

What’s (Movsar Evloev’s) win streak – 18 or 19? That fight sucked the wind right out of the arena tonight. It might bum him out, but he’s got to deal with it. That was the least fun fight anybody’s ever seen. He doesn’t have much to complain about. You know who lost that fight? The fans.”

It’ll be interesting to see where Evloev stands after Dana’s not-so-wringing endorsement.
