Robert Whittaker Reacts To Khamzat Chimaev Fight Announcement

Bobby Knuckles is ready to make another run at the middleweight title.

On Wednesday, UFC CEO Dana White announced that Robert Whittaker would be facing off against Khamzat Chimaev at the UFC’s inaugural event in Saudi Arabia on June 22.

While speaking with the MMA Arcade Podcast, Whittaker spoke about the upcoming Chimaev fight and looks forward to making history in Saudi Arabia.

“I cannot wait. I understand he’s a hard fighter, he likes to grapple a lot, he uses his reach and range… he’s got knockout power.

He like to play the villain against these guys, but he’s an honourable fighter. We’re gonna get in there and we’re gonna have an honest fight. He’s not a quitter, I’m not a quitter.

I look forward to making history in Saudi Arabia.”

Chimaev reacted to the matchup by laughing at Whittaker.
