Francis Ngannou is apparently making his PFL MMA debut later this year.
On Wednesday, PFL’s Donn Davis he told MMA Hour’s Ariel Helwani that Ngannou would make his PPV debut with the company on a massive card featuring several of the company’s top stars.
Donn Davis says if Francis Ngannou had won he would not have fought in the PFL until 2025 Q1.
Says Ngannou/Ferreira will happen on PPV sometime between July and September.

“[Ngannou vs. Ferreira] will be a PPV fight,” Davis said on The MMA Hour. “That [card] will also have Cris Cyborg against Larissa Pacheco as the co-main fight. That [card] will also have Cedric Doumbe, against somebody we’ll announce. So that [card] is gonna be big, just because of Francis. But that [card] will have other very compelling matchups on it.”
Davis’ comments contradicts what Ngannou said earlier this week when he said that he wanted to stay in boxing after his knockout loss to Anthony Joshu last month.
“What’s next for me? Maybe a third boxingJoshuah, “I feel like boxing owes me something now. I have to regain what boxing took from me. I think my ego will not let me step back and let this go like this without doing everything to reinstall and prove to the world that I am the man of this job.
“I can do it, you know. I slipped, but I didn’t fall. I stumbled, but I didn’t fall. I think if I go back, train, learn from it and use it as an advantage and experience for my personal growth, for my professional growth, I think it will not be a loss. I will be able to reverse it and make it a victory – a life victory, not only a sports victory.”
We’ll have to wait and see if Ngannou chooses boxing or MMA for his next venture.
