Ian Garry has no interest in fighting Michael Venom Page.
At UFC 299, MVP absolutely dominated Kevin Holland in stunning fashion.
During an interview on Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour, Page said that a fight against Garry interested him more than a fight against Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson.
“Just looking at the rankings, I think one that makes the most sense would be Ian [Machado] Garry,” “Considering he thought I wasn’t going to get past Kevin. … There was an interview he did, I’m not sure on what, they asked him his views on me, he was like, ‘Who is he fighting? Oh he’s not going to beat Kevin. No way he gets past Kevin.’ Very dismissive. Which is fine. People ask me about my views, everyone is entitle to their opinion. There’s no need to be angry about it, but now I’ve gotten past and maybe you could stop me?
“In the U.K. as well, it’s perfect. That would be a lot of noise there, and I think it’s a good fight. I think he’s ranked seventh, seven is my lucky number.”
Despite MVP’s callout, Garry thinks he needs to beat a few people and rise up in the rankings before he would even consider fighting him.
“I wanna be the best in the world and unless your number’s higher than mine I’m not interested… unless he passes me in the division somehow, zero interest.”
Ian Garry has no interest in fighting Michael ‘Venom’ Page since he’s ranked below him 😬

It’s clear that a fight between MVP and Garry would be interesting but Garry does have a point considering he’s been fighting in the UFC for years while MVP has only fought once.
