Two prominent UFC commentators believe Khamzat Chimaev could have some issues with veteran Robert Whittaker in their upcoming fight.
Last week, the UFC announced that Whittaker and Chimaev would be headlining the inaugural UFC Saudi Arabia card later this summer.
During his most recent ‘Believe You Me’ podcast episode, former UFC champion turned commentator Michael Bisping said that Whittaker’s gas tank could play a role in the fight.
“One thing Robert Whittaker’s not going to do is run out of gas. The obvious thing is Khamzat always gasses.
5 rounds against somebody like Robert Whittaker. If [Khamzat] can’t finish [Robert] early, that could be a disastrous night for him in Saudi Arabia.”
Michael Bisping says that Khamzat Chimaev’s corner has “got to be concerned” for his first 5-round fight against Robert Whittaker:

Joe Rogan also discussed how Chimaev struggled with Kamaru Usman, who is not a true 185-pound fighter.
“[Whittaker] is a real 185er, as opposed to… they gave him Kamaru Usman. Kamaru didn’t have a chance to prepare for that.
[Kamaru] was winning in the 3rd round. If that was a 5 round fight who knows how the f*** that fight would’ve went.”

The winner of the Chimaev-Whittaker will certainly be at the top of the list of fighters who will be in title contention at the middleweight division.
