UFC welterweight and St Louis native Joaquin Buckley believes he deserves the main event slot for the upcoming UFC St. Louis card.
On Saturday night, Buckley stunned the MMA world when he dominated Vicente Luque at UFC Atlantic City.

During his postfight press conference, Buckley said he wanted to upend Derrick Lewis as the main eventer for the announced UFC St. Louis card.
“It’s time to come back home, and start my training camp in St. Louis, and put on a show.”
“We might change that [Derrick Lewis vs. Rodrigo Nascimento main event.”
“They will switch it up. If I fight in St. Louis, they gonna have to switch it up and put me as the main event, five rounds.”

As for opponents, Buckley is not interested in a rematch with Kevin Hollard after he lost to Michael Venom Page at UFC 299.
“I don’t want it back no more. He lost to MVP. Damn, poor child. He messed up the money.”
“I was hunting him down the whole time, and I was trying to get the opportunity. He didn’t want to give it to me, so now we just looking forward.”
Buckley is nearing a top ten ranking it will probably find it hard to get a quick opponent before June.
