Former light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hll is out to make a statement during the biggest fight card of the year.
Last week, UFC CEO Dana White revealed that Hill would be headlining UFC 300 in a light heavyweight title match against Alex Pereira.
This will be Hill’s first fight since relinquishing the title due to an Achilles injury.
Hill recently spoke to MMA journalist Helen Yee and says he’s going to prove that he’s better than Pereira in every aspect of MMA.
“Everybody got this perception of [Alex], he’s not like y’all think he is. I’m like that.
“I see myself as superior everywhere. Superior striker, grappler, clinch worker, thinker. I’m superior to him everywhere.”
Jamahal Hill seems to think Alex Pereira is overrated 🤔

Hill seems miffed at the fact that Pereira has already stated that he plans to fight at UFC 301 a month after their fight.
“It’s a funny statement. If you think you won’t take any damage at all.
“Even if you were somehow to win, the fact that you think you won’t take no damage is crazy. Crazy.”
Jamahal Hill laughs at the idea of Alex Pereira defending his belt at both #UFC300 and #UFC301

Hill is currently a slight +130 underdog vs Pereira.
