Chito Vera has no time for Sean O’Malley’s antics.
For the past two years, O’Malley has told everyone that he doesn’t consider his loss against Vera has a loss on his record due to the fact that he suffered a leg injury.
During an interview with CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri, Vera says he doesn’t care whether or not O’Malley actually he believes he didn’t lose their previous fight.
“I can’t go and convince a kid about what will be or what was. That’s just his personality. It’s either he’s that dumb or he’s putting on a persona just for the show. I don’t care regardless.
“I don’t have time to talk to a f—ing little puppy with colored hair. I’m going to kick his a–, don’t get me wrong, but I’m not going to engage. Good luck trying to get in my head.”
During an interview with Ariel Helwani, O’Malley says he lost against Vera on purpose to make the rematch bigger.

“If I fight ‘Chito’ next it’s because that’s what I want, and that’s the biggest fight. I’m in the fight business and I want the biggest fights. I never lost sleep over this fight. I’ve actually been playing chess for a long time. I lost that [first] fight on purpose just so that I could go out there and knock out ‘Aljo’ and have that be my biggest fight, rematch.”
Vera and O’Malley are set to fight at UFC 299 in Miami in one of the biggest fights of the year.
