Belal Muhammad Not Offered Fight Vs Leon Edwards At UFC 300

Belal Muhammad continues to get cast aside by the UFC.

Muhammad has been waiting for nearly a year to get a title shot after he fought Gilbert Burns on short notice at UFC 288.

“One hundred percent … yes, the guy who wins this fight will get the next shot,” White told media at the time.

Unfortunately for Muhammad he has yet to be offered the title shot while welterweight champ Leon Edwards has been offered a multitude of opponents.

On Saturday during UFC 298’s postfight press conference, White revealed that he had offered Edwards three different fights for UFC 300 and that they were all turned down.

“Let me say this. Leon Edwards, Leon Edwards has had like three opponents through this whole thing. Leon Edwards doesn’t say no to anybody,” exclaimed White. “This kid is an absolute stud. He’s had like three opponents thrown at him during UFC 300. Yes, yes, and yes. Was willing to take on anybody. Kid’s an absolute stud. Leon, thank you. Much respect.”

According to a report from MMA journalist The Schmo, Muhammad has yet to be offered a title fight against Edwards and was not one of the three opponents offered to Edwards for UFC 300.
